You are going to have a heftier charge on you and possibly you’re going to have to serve some jail time. It varies on the state that you are in. Some states don’t differentiate from the two and you are going to have to pay a big fine and spend time in jail. In Minnesota, this is the case.

Either way you toss it, getting a DUI or a DWI is going to require you to have a lot of time in the courts.
