MISDEMEANOR CLASSIFICATION
A misdemeanor is a criminal charge which is of a lessor offense than a felony.
They do have penalties,some of them can have lot of consequences in a person's life.
They can even lead to the inability to receive governmental aid such as school loans or inability to obtain some jobs.


A misdemeanor is usually classified as per their severity.
Each misdemeanor class provides certain recommendations for fines and jail sentences.
If a person is a repeat offender then the punishment is also more severe along with certain additional penalties.

Class A Misdemeanor


Class A misdemeanor PENALTY may include 
1. Fine up to $10,000, 
2. Imprisonment for up to 9 months, or both.
 The term of imprisonment may increase up to 2 years for a repeat offender.
Class B Misdemeanor PENALTY may include
1. Fine up to $1,000,
2. Imprisonment for up to 90 days, or both.
 The term of imprisonment may increase up to 2 years for a repeat offender.
Class C Misdemeanor PENALTY may include
1. Fine up to $500,
2. Imprisonment for up to 30 days, or both.
The term of imprisonment may increase up to 2 years for a repeat offender.
