Six Points are given to the following offenses.

Four Points are given to the following offenses.
Impaired driving ,Drag racing, Sixteen miles per hour or more over the legal speed limit, Failure to yield to an emergency vehicle , Any blood-alcohol level in a driver under twenty-one years of age.
Three Points are given to the following offenses.
Eleven to fifteen miles per hour over the legal speed limit, Careless driving, Disobeying a traffic signal or stop sign or improper passing , Failure to stop for a school bus or disobeying a school crossing guard, Failure to stop at a railroad crossing.
Two Points are given to the following offenses.
Refusal of breath test for alcohol content by a driver under twenty-one years of age , Ten miles per hour or less over the legal speed limit, All other moving violations of traffic laws.
These points accumulate over a given time frame period and if a certain number of points are accumulated within a certain time period then the driving privileges can be suspended.
Insurance companies can raise their insurance premiums for such drivers based on this information.
